Thai Square in St Albans was great. I was reallly surprised how they've transformed an old run down pub into a fantastic venue. I took my husband out to celebrate his birthday. It was relatively busy for a Sunday night. The service was good. I found the food a little too hot and spicy (it was my fault as it was clear on the menu how spicy it was likely to be) my husband really enjoyed his meal. It would definately recommend it.
great starters, may go for a different main next time as curries we ordered were a little disappointing
We had a lovely meal at the Thai Square in St Albans. The food was excellent, the service and ambience made for a perfect evening. The only negative is that it is a little over priced. We paid £80 for a meal for two (mixed starters, two main dishes, rice, noodles, bottle of wine and two coffees)
We'll certainly go to Thai Square again as the food was really good - not sure what I was expecting with the Crocodile but it tasted a bit like Turkey! However it was different and nice to see on the menu. Staff were really nice.
Fabulous cocktail bar for pre-dinner drinks. Great Thai food - loved the mixed starter. Good place to go with a larger group.
Thai Square in St Albans did not fail to deliver both excellent food and impeccable service on a week night. I somewhat expected to find a special offer or at least prices that follow the current economic trend and was surprised to land a £90 bill for 3 courses for 2 with no wine. Still, I'll go back as I enjoyed the dining experience.
a lovely setting ( tudor stlye pub) with plenty of atmosphere The Thai Square would certainly be a choice for celebrating again. My Husband and I took our 19 and 17 yr old daughters for a birthday celebration and thoroughly enjoyed it
Great venue and service, but food is fairly ordinary and overpriced.
Booked at the last minute but received a very good table and the ambience was great. The food was good as well as the service. Highly recommend the restaurant and paricularly the scallops to start! Worked out to be £40 per head with drinks so good value for money.
