One of the top St Albans restaurants, Thai Square is housed within a beautifully restored 15th Century timber frame grade II listed building. We are one of the top Thai restaurants in this ancient English city, and were honoured as a Highly Commended in the 2017 Hertfordshire Food and Drink Awards.

Thai Sq has loads of vegetarian options. For starters we ordered Spring rolls which were OK; Tempura - were very good. Mains - Green curry & stir fried Veggies were awesome. We didn't like the Jungle curry though. Cocktails were average. Dessert was nice...can't remember which one we ordered, but had loads of berries. This particular Thai sq in St Albans is very big, the restaurant is over two floors & has several rooms; ambience & interior was excellent. Ideal for night out or parties.

Thai Square was lovely, interesting mix in decor with the old english style and thai decoration. Staff was excellent... and food was good too

Our second visit to the Thai Square,18 of us went on a Thursday evening for my daughter's 18th birthday celebration. The food is very good and the service excellent. The restaurant is fairly expensive, but this reflects the quality and location. We will visit again.
Dissappointing experience given I have eaten at this restaurant before and felt differently! The staff were very accomodating in taking our order and the food came quickly. However, the £18 Sea Bass dish was very poor for the money and the starters were overall of much better quality than the mains! Despite this the atmosphere is good!
Great food, atmosphere and service. Would recomend.
