Not our first time at the Chateau in Franklin. Food was good - looks like they added some items (chicken and veal marsala, for instance), which is nice. I'm imagining they were understaffed at our visit. It took a while to sit down, despite the restaurant being only partially full with open tables scattered. Wait staff were friendly and tried their best. We'll return again at some point.

Food was great, our server was attentive and checked in frequently - the only negative was how slow the bar was. We were seated where we could see the bar and it took nearly 15 minutes to get drinks - server apologized that the bar was backed up but we could clearly see the two bartenders wiping the bar, cleaning glasses and chatting with each other even though our drinks weren’t being made. Would be 5 stars if the bar was more efficient

The server was very nice, friendly and polite. However, I wonder if they may need more training. I had to ask for dishes to be removed twice, and for more water. Empty dishes sat while we were asking for the next thing. Service was slow, which for us was fine as we wanted time to talk and were not rushed. While we did not want to be rushed, I would have liked dishes cleared and water attended to. Food was very good and all staff we interacted with were upbeat and polite.

Chicken Marsala was a bit saucy. Chicken Francese, Chicken Supreme and Chicken/Broccoli/Ziti were all good.

Pizza was undercooked and had too much cheese. The side salad was a great deal, large size and fresh.
