This is a very traditional Italian-American spot that has been a go-to for generations. Unfortunately, it's lost a few steps over the years. We understand things are difficult in restaurants, but there were issues with our dinner. Our server was polite, but did not follow up with us during the meal and missed a drink order from one in our group. Second, this was a special occasion, a 91st birthday, and our mother grew up in the neighborhood so this place is special to her. When our meals arrived, our mother's dish did not. First time in 24 years that we had a bad experience. Waitress was horrible forgot apps. Then brought out wrong app. Never offered more drinks. And food arrived less than warm.. no she wasn't busy. I watched her stand around too much and she spent a lot of time at the 5 top near us whom then left her a 27.00 tip hope it was worth all the effort she put in...
Server seemed very overwhelmed with their section. Took a long time for them to come over. Rarely checked in on us. Never offered refills of beverages. Didn't even bring water to the table.
Dark interior, food is nothing special. Very average
We were seated right away, although there were five other staff that appeared to be just standing around in the lobby when we arrived. The server never came to take our drink/appetizer order until 21 minutes later. Service was slow throughout the entire dinner. We had to ask for a take-home box three times before we got it, which was 17 minutes after our first request for the box. A waste of time and money! The greeter was unprofessional and rude. Will not be eating here again
The food was terrible. It was very salty and barely warm. Our waitress however, was efficient and polite.
The food was edible but that's where it ended. Atmosphere was very dated and tired. We were the last ones left in our large dining room at 8:30 PM ... on a Saturday night. We will not return.
