Overpriced, poor quality food. It’s mostly a place to take your grandma to dinner.
Bar service was poor, food was just fair. Just a run of the mill place.

This is a very traditional Italian-American spot that has been a go-to for generations. Unfortunately, it's lost a few steps over the years. The server was pretty great —personable, responsive, and attentive —but the hostess literally never looked up from her tablet with a seating chart as she directed us to "go straight back to the Gold Room and tell the girl there your name." We understand things are difficult in restaurants, but there were issues with our dinner. Our server was polite, but did not follow up with us during the meal and missed a drink order from one in our group. Second, this was a special occasion, a 91st birthday, and our mother grew up in the neighborhood so this place is special to her. When our meals arrived, our mother's dish did not. First time in 24 years that we had a bad experience. Waitress was horrible forgot apps. Then brought out wrong app. Never offered more drinks. And food arrived less than warm.. no she wasn't busy. I watched her stand around too much and she spent a lot of time at the 5 top near us whom then left her a 27.00 tip hope it was worth all the effort she put in...
Server seemed very overwhelmed with their section. Took a long time for them to come over. Rarely checked in on us. Never offered refills of beverages. Didn't even bring water to the table.
Dark interior, food is nothing special. Very average
