This facility only thinks of it's members as numbers. So I'm going to start treating the staff as numbers. Also the staff likes sitting on the front counter and either BSing or texting on their phones instead of doing actual work. And the worst part is the management sees it going on and does nothing about it. And guess what since I'm a paying member I have every right to complain. Crowded gym, too loud music, not enough equipment to go around and terrible customer service - attitudes, lack of knowledge and no support.

I pay for a plus one every month and they wouldn't let me use it. My friend tried to come with me and they refused him because he has his own membership issues. If I pay for myself and plus one I should be able to bring whoever I want for the plus one. The worker behind the counter mr. trahn (jesse)? Was not helpful and a little rude.

The Edge Fitness club in Manchester has become very very ridiculous with their prices. I have been a member of that club since 2016 and my member ship fee has always been 19.99 plus taxes since I joined. So I renewed my membership August 2018 and was told that I was grandfathered in with the 19.99 price since I had been a member for a long time. Some how I had forgotten to renew my membership this year 2019 so they are taking 26.58 from my account monthly. When I called I spoke to JOE who says he is the Manager for the store... read more

The worst decision we ever made as a family was having our son get a membership at The Edge Fitness Club in Manchester, CT. Their sales practices are past deceptive. They outright lie to you about charges related to their different membership options. Worst gym I've ever been to. If you want to wait 30 minutes for anything at any time for every exercise you do this is the place for you. Also, if you like to park 10 minutes away from the gym and walk to your destination this a great choice. Not to mention the the super cheap $150 towing fine that they'll get you with eventually. Full of people who have no idea what they are doing and no sense of gym etiquette. The staff just lets people horde weights and leave them all over the gym. I agree with other reviewers that the variety of equipment is great, however that's about all that sets this gym apart. Management does not instill great customer service into the front desk people (and they fired the good folks) and do not show understanding themselves. I recently asked someone at the front desk what I had to do to cancel my services and membership and was told to email the payment company my agreement info. I must say The Edge WAS by FAR my favorite gym to go to but from the distasteful experience I had today it changed my perspective. Today both Assistant General Manager Nathan Miller and General Manager Nick Lebron kicked me out of the gym for owning a payment of $1.58. (Yes you read it right a dollar and fifty-eight cents) They were not helpful and when I asked if they can show me their policies regarding this they disregarded my request! Save yourself and don't sign up here.This is definitely a place/company that only cares about the money they make and no care for the customers at all. I moved to Connecticut a few years ago and never changed my license and now I'm moving out of state and they won't let me cancel my membership unless I have a new lease in my name , a bill or license picture so I sent a picture of my credit card with name and address and they said they can't accept it that it needs to be another bill .
