I've been a member of this fitness club at the Manchester location since 2016. No frills membership. Just want to work out. No classes needed. As of today I cannot utilize the women's area of The Edge unless I change my membership from $10.00 to $30.00 because apparently the women's only section is an "amenity". The men are generally hogging the machines & the free weights in the general area. It's not easy trying to do strength training amongst them. This is one of the worst gyms. They do not follow any ethics while enrolling people. They do not mention about any contract, have us sign in a display tab mentioning it is a waiver but after 5 days, we will receive a contract. If we try to cancel, they will mention that cancellation can be done only before 5 days of enrolling and now, we have to stay in 12 month or 24 month contract. If you want to cancel your membership make sure you do it 30 days before your next months payment. It is utterly ridiculous and unfair that I would have to still pay a "annual fee" if I'm canceling my membership and not going to continue out the year with the gym. I was fine with paying for the last month, I'd just use the gym for the final month and move on with my life. But the fact that I'm being forced to pay a annual fee before my account can even be canceled is completely unfair. So for that this place gets one star fr... read more

I hated this gym. It was incredibly busy no matter what time of day. It was also impossible to find parking in the busy hours from literally 5pm to 8pm. I tried to find parking, couldn't and turned around. I found that this gym was not fun to work out in. I wasn't greeted at the door consistently and it seemed like the employees were more interested in talking to each other. The employees seemed annoyed when I needed to ask for something like tanning. Awful gym and the problems start from management . Place is overcrowded all the time and has one of the smallest parking lots ever. Very unfriendly staff that act as if they are bothered by you when you ask a question. Hopefully you never Inquire about a membership because they will call , text and email you every other day until you sign up . Don't waste your time or money here .

Awefull staff!!! When I started to come to this gym they told me you don't have to pay for your husband ( annual fee) just call them and let them know, and I was so happy because of that!!! But now when I asked the same staff he said I didn't say that! Really?!!?! I can't wait to cancel my membership!
signed up for me and my wife. like a dummy I never read reviews. it was he birthday and she hinted she would like to get a membership after seeing a comercial on TV. when I signed up the sales person assured me I would not get calls or text....yeah right. it's been 4 days and already they have blown up my phone. left me texts, cell messages and live calls. needless to say the wife heard them and it blew the surprise. Joined back in January 2016, loved it for the first couple of months, but not anymore. Since December it has become impossible to park and even drive around the parking lot. The problem has become a lot worse in the last month. People are parking in non-parking spaces making the lanes more narrow to drive in and impossible to see when turning( car has almost been hit twice already).
