Nice gym but they are way too strict with their contracts. I moved and travel time now is 18 minutes. I don't want to drive that long each way to go the gym. I went in and spoke to the GM or assistant GM (can't remember). His name was Michael. He told me that if I paid a $50 fee I could downgrade to the $10 a month membership. Nice equipment but extremely overcrowded. They require so much personal information in order to cancel the policy. The sales rep made it seem like when I moved the cancellation process would be quick and easy. It's not. I moved two hours away and they want my entire lease to prove it? There are hidden fees and the amenities like the hydro massage bed and massage chair are often broken. In all, it's not worth spending the extra money for. I don't recommend and I think the other reviews for this place demonstrate that as well.

If you decide to join and later decide that you want to cancel your membership, be prepared to jump through hoops. The only options for terminating your membership are either A)Medical reason or B) You've moved 15 miles from an Edge Fitness Club. You cannot cancel your membership just because you no longer use the membership. There is no way around that. I think this policy is absolutely absurd. I was told I'd be able to cancel at anytime. Once my contract is up, I will not be renewing it.

Stay away. I got membership for $29 a month and they have charged $60 a month. I canceled membership and they still charge. Run away!!!

Good luck trying to cancel. My daughter (18) got duped into a 12 month contract, and hardly ever goes now that she's at college. but she's locked-in at $30 per month.. I don't understand these gym's with their contracts. It's easier to cancel Verizon for goodness sake. You should be ashamed of yourselves. If your gym is "that great", you shouldn't need a bloody contract. She also said they just took $50 from her account. I read the FAQ and it does mention this "yearly enhancement fee"... If I can give this gym no stars I would, my girlfriend and I have been a member there for about 1 year and everything went smoothly. But recently they approached my girlfriend who has guest privileges, she was there with a guest, so they approached her because she wasn't allowed to help her guest workout or give her a routine. They told her that an employee noticed her or appeared to be training her. And that's not allowed. And the GM said that's why we have trainers. Signed up and completed the necessary one year membership, which the Edge was able to accomplish at the location, in the gym. So they can take your money on the day you walk in with NO PROBLEMS. But good luck trying to cancel your membership at the same place. Hell no you can't do that here. You have to put it in writing AND give 30 days notice, which means another billing cycle, HELLOOOOO!!!! They use a 3rd party collection agency for billing (ABC Financial). They're scum bags too. I was a member here for a year. I really liked the spin classes, the gym itself was clean, well lit and great machines. The reason why I stopped going was because I got a new job further away from the gym. I originally joined this gym due to convenience of my old job. I told the person I signed up with and was told I could only cancel if I moved a certain distance away or medical reasons. I liked it in the beginning but now not so good you got to die to get out of this membership I thought marriage was bad I have tried to get out of it a couple of times the manager won't let you cancel the only way is to pay a 250 cancellation fee so I got to wait till my contact is up and then I'm gone off to join a gym with out a contract
