No, no, no, just don't! I have tried to give this place a chance since Alamo heights, the Rim location, and now the Leon Springs location. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are horrible! If you're into wasting your money and time, come to the Lion & Rose.

My husband and I had dinner at the Leon Springs location yesterday and we both got sick. We will not be dining there again.

Tried this place again and we really want to like it here but they don't make it easy. Again, British beer selection is very poor. They have adjusted some of their prices, so I appreciate that. However, service was the problem on this visit. We sat there for at least 10 minutes before we finally asked who our server was. We got cocktails but for the meal I asked for a water and the waitress forgot - after asking twice. She finally brought it after I was completely done eating. No manager ever stopped by our table to ask how ... read more

Walked into a mostly empty restaurant, seated immediately, several waitress standing around. No one came by to take a drink order. After 15 minutes we decided to leave. First and last visit. Pretty sure poor service is why it was an empty restaurant.

Food's not great. New bartenders can't make the simplest drinks without looking up a recipe. Besides the Big Tv at the bar not much to do with sports as the rest of the TVs inside the restaurant are poorly positioned. No games either like darts or pool. Try another place if you're looking for anything I mentioned above....

My husband & I stopped in for date night dinner & drinks. We sat at the bar. The live music was nice, the bar ambiance was cool & inviting, but the bartenders were absolutely terrible. They were inattentive, unfriendly, and not knowledgable about bartending. We had intended on staying the evening, but ended up having an appetizer and a cocktail and leaving. While the dining room was full of customers, the "pub" was not. We watched as several people seemingly left after discouragement with the same issues. Unfortunately, we w... read more

As someone who used to love the old Lion Rose back in the day, this new version is not the same at all. Overpriced, underwhelming food, drinks are expensive too. The portion sizes are RIDICULOUSLY small for the exorbitant price tag. And the place does not have a British pub vibe at all. Service was okay, but not above or beyond or anything. It was just meh overall, but the experience was made worse for me since I remember what the old pub used to be like.

Went there on February 19. The good news is the food seems to be as good as it used to be at their previous locations. The service was spotty but I expect part of that is due to the pub being newly opened. The reason for the 1 star rating is that this place is an unbelievably poor value for the money. When I looked at the drink menu I noticed that there were prices for wine and cocktails but not beer. There is a reason for that. A glass of insipid American lager that was described as a pilsner was $8. It gets worse th... read more
