The good: the food was really good. We had a scotch egg, cottage pie, and bangers and mashed. All were dishes I will want again. Service was prompt. The bad: English beer selection is nonexistent. Prices are too high for this level of restaurant. I had a luxardo limoncello martini that was a whopping $19! And it wasn't even served with a luxardo cherry! The place is new and they still have a lot to work out unfortunately with staff. Bartender needs help making drinks. Ordered express martini and sent it back 2x. It was really bad and glass was filled 1/2 way. Drinks are not cheap here and to fill 1/2 way is not acceptable. Appetizer's were good. Especially the pork belly. Went for St. Patty's day and the place is pretty cool, great vibes and good bartenders. The fish and chips are excellent and the chicken Diablo appetizers are a great tasty snack. However, I will say the food and drinks to an extent are a little over priced. For example, a mimosa on St. Patty's day was $11, and a green tea shot was $9. The fish and Chips were $20, but tasted great and definitely a large plate to share.

This location is new so we'll likely give it another try. But, the first dinner visit wasn't great. Very noisy with overrated bar food. I was expecting a higher value experience, but it was similar to going to an Applebees. Drinks were weak and watery. Service was fine.

The food was very good! The service really stood out. Mr.T was attentive, friendly and offered wonderful suggestions for lunch. I will be back and request him as our server!!!

My wife and I were excited when we learned that the Lion and Rose finally opened. They are not open for lunch but will change when the contractors finish up their final touches. Our favorite dish is the fish and chips. Wow! Just as good when they were at the Rim. Their beer batter is perfectly cooked and it's a light golden brown batter. Haddock is moist and tender. The English are not known for food and true to form the food is just okay. The building is beautiful but the ambience is not an English pub if that's what you are expecting. The bar is Americanized as I suppose it should be but not for me. I prefer old English pub and this is an American sports slash nightclub feel with some English stuff on the wall. I'm not going to give less than 3 stars because it is new and people may like it but traditional English pub it definitely is not.

We didn't eat but did enjoy a few beers at the bar. Great atmosphere to watch a game or relax with friends. Our bartender was very attentive and the manager checked on us.
