The food is really good. The staffing in the dining room needs to better equipped to assist with feeding the residents that need this assistance. The community is improving on things each day. This is still the best community after looking at multiple communities in the area. The staff get to know your loved one and their care needs. Once they learn the needs of your loved one they do a good job. The staff is very receptive to any questions, concerns, or changes the family or your loved one may need.

I visited my sister yesterday for the first time as i love out of state. What a wonderful place this is. Wonderful people doing a wonderful job with smiles & laughter. Fantastic!

They're very accommodating. My loved one received very good care. The staff were wonderful. Cleanliness was good overall, spotless in the common areas, but my loved one's individual room could have used some attention at times, including small things on the floor that should have been cleaned/swept up. They had a lot of activities to keep the residents engaged.

They were excellent here. The director who ran the place was an excellent communicator. The ratio of staff to residents left plenty of staff available per person. That very well could have been that they had a bigger percentage of dementia patients to care for. The food was decent, a notch better than where we moved to when we moved to a different area. The communication is good and they keep our family well informed. They are always open to feedback and work with us. The community is clean and the staff does a great job with the residence. I would recommend this community to others.

The community talks a good story but it takes a long time for things to get corrected, if it is fixed it goes back to the way it was after a short time. They do a lot of things well but I have problems with medication, but they have had a good plan for Covid. I have had issues with some of her basic care and have had to complain. there is a high turnover with the staff so when things are corrected and someone leaves we have to start over again. They did start garden visits so we could see our loved one and that was nice. ... read more

I toured several communities and found Poet's Walk to be by far our favorite. People were the reason that made difference. We will moved my husband before the year is over.
