*****heartworm treatment read***** The place is a decent clinic for shots and basic checkups. My gripe with them is their so casual recommendations for treatments that pose a risk to your pet without educating you. Let me get into detail. Our dog we brought here had a previous case of heartworms from another owner. We had no clue the severity of the worms. They can range from little, mild to a lot. A form called slow kill avoids putting your dog at risk of doing a treatment that maybe Unnecessary. Slow kill is not ideal ... read more

We arrived 3 minutes late to our appointment even though they told us we had a 5 minute grace period and Thrive ended up cancelling the appointment. The woman at the front desk (blonde braided extensions) was extremely rude. If you're going to open until 6 then why leave at 5:20? We will not be returning to any Thrive location.

Thrive is a decent vet. It's well priced and usually open for appointments. But the vets I've encountered aren't really cat people. The vet literally told me she wasn't a fan of cats. Odd to become a vet and not like all creatures but ok... I had taken my cat here for years and when she suddenly got sick I took her right in. Here's the problem with a vet not liking certain pets..they don't know as much about them as they should. I ending up teaching the vet about Hedwig's condition because she had no knowledge. This clinic misdiagnosed my dog. Anti inflammatory prescription? He had bone cancer and had to be euthanized! Go elsewhere!!!!

I heard about this vet because my coworker stated it was an affordable vet clinic. As we had moved recently to Houston, we came to the vet early, to ensure we had enough time for paperwork and we thought " maybe if we get there early, we'll be seen early".so we got there about 15 mins prior to our appointment as our appointment was at 1030AM. I have been to this Vet Service and Location for two years and I have never had a bad experience. This time was different and I can see from the reviews that this place is not the place it once was. The front desk manager, Allison, was completely unprofessional and should not be working with the public. The way she spoke to me was completely uncalled for. BEWARE! MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY that do not care about the needs or experience of your pet. Not the mention the OFFICE SITE MANAGER Is one of the rudest people I've ever had the chance to speak with. The receptionist literally told me "I don't know" when I asked when I would receive a call/email from management. OVERPRICED medication and they will not work with you if you realise your pet needs something different. $100 worth of medication I just spent that I may as well throw away because my pet WILL NOT take it. RUDE AND ALMOST KILLED MY CAT, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! My first unsavory encounter with a rude human being was when I got my cat neutered. The doctor (Dr. Kristine Rice, blonde, angry woman) gave me the worst vibes. She was cold and made me feel very uncomfortable. She was very unsympathetic and didn't even say anything nice, didn't even crack a smile out of politeness, and answered my questions with a death stare.
