I'm not. I give it a 1 because it is an out of town company, and I feel like they came to this area because we all had hail damage to our roofs and our insurance company was taking care of us. I feel that once they are done with this work they are gone and I would have a hard time getting them to come back if there is a problem. They did a good job, but I would recommend someone locally to someone else to get the job done.
Where do I begin. Universal builders was to replace our roof and gutter covers caused by damage due to a hail storm. In the process of removing/installing the new shingles, they damaged the aluminum siding trim. Pictures of the damage were provided to our sales rep. He also came out to our property to get more pictures. More than 2 months has passed and still no resolution. Two star average may be a little low. Poor communications from multiple people with company, used good subcontractors, and salesperson outright insulted me. Texted me, "call me back 'like a man'" and "you can't get out of our contract."Overall, experience was meh. They have at this point started what has been contracted. Still need to wrap it up, but no clear plan as to when. If it wasn't an insurance job I wouldn't have used them.
They saw the damage I had from the hail and they contacted my insurance company to cover the repairs. All I had to do was pay the deductible.
I wouldn't recommend them. The roof was fine, but they made such a mess when they were doing it. They destroyed my landscaping and got tar on the siding of the house. The materials they used to clean the tar bleached my siding completely. They ended up having to pay to have my siding fixed.
