Very disappointed at this time. As read in earlier comments you can go to get the shots done on the Saturday vet clinic day and get a decent deal. I think for recurring issues and they know the pet documentation they should at least give you refills on certain meds. Especially since they cant seem to fit you in when your dog is ill. They have to refer you to the pet hospital down the street. please if your pet is seriously ill e.g.; renal disease or pancreatitis.....go to a "internal medical specialist" these vets do NOT have this skill set and cannot interpret labs nor ultrasounds at this higher level of care. Take your vet to a specialist not the level at Whites' I will never go back here. My beloved dog was seriously ill and Whites" only cared about collecting the money. I was shuttled back and forth for fluids on my dog . I finally made the decision to stay at CARE where the dog could get uninterrupted IVF. ... read more

Normally I have had good experiences at whites, but during the most recent episode with my very sick dog, the staff at whites was incredibly rude, short and unhelpful. We have been at whites for nearly 15 years and have been nothing but loyal, kind customers. But when my dog recently went into heart failure, the staff was neither understanding nor helpful-they offered very little sympathy or advice and I was shocked at the candor of their speech. I had an appointment for 2:15 but was kept waiting (and waiting...) without any explanation or apology until 3:15. Even though one of the desk workers commented on the fact that it was uncharacteristically slow that afternoon, two others were seen before me who came in after we did, and neither appeared to be an emergency situation. The Dr. was gentle and knowledgeable once we were taken in, but I will not return.

White's was great on routine stuff, but did not detect a splenic mass on a dog we were watching for friends who away on an extended trip. We took her in multiple times because she was acting strange, and they would look her over and say they couldn't find anything wrong. They had us collect a urine sample, etc., and still said they couldn't find anything wrong. We finally decided to seek a second opinion and scheduled an appointment at San Roque. I caution pet owners to STAY AWAY from White's. We took our pet in for what turned out to be a simple UTI. Unfortunately, Dr. McFarland misdiagnosed our dog, who ended up undergoing general anesthesia and a painful, invasive and expensive procedure for naught. A second opinion confirmed the misdiagnosis.

I wish that Yelp had a "NO Star" option because I feel that giving White's Pet Hospital even one star is wrong. They totally lack professionalism. They are rude and insensitive. They used to be very popular and very good, but they are resting on the laurels of their past. They MISTREAT animals if it means they can get more money from you! They have NO regard for community. Sketchy Place. The Kennels are gross and it looks like they dont even dry off the floors before laying blankets down for pets that are boarding (DO NOT BOARD HERE). Very unsanitary and they did not seem to really care for my pets well being AND the front staff is not very friendly. After they took my pet into the back and the technician handed her back to me my dog growled and tried to bite her and I'm not one of those crazy "my dog never hurts anybody people" BUT she really hasn't and that was very unusual. I used to love this hospital. Unfortunately, recently experienced some inefficiencies and I've been to 2 other pet hospitals and saw a major difference in bedside manner. However, what really made me change hospitals was the interactions with the Office Manager.
