Whites Pet Hospital has been a great experience for me. I had experience with three other vets prior to finding Whites and I like them the best. I have brought my golden retriever here for the last six years and he is well taken care of. They do recommend expensive tests -- but less so than the other vets. I really really like the weekend hours. Dr. McFarland is my favorite vet.

I've been taking my dogs to Whites for 30 years. Our first puppy lived to be 19 and got the best of care. He was a straight forward patient. Lived long and prospered. Got great attention and personal affection. Our next two passed away within months of each other. Gypsy was a medical mystery. She had Chron's disease for years and numerous affiliated issues. A number ofntwists and turns had Gypsy up and down ad up amd down Dr. McFarland literally brought her back from the dead four times. Gypsy became a medical miracle. ... read more

Review on Boarding Services and Veterinary Services: I have boarded my dog here quite a few times and I am always so comfortable knowing he's safe, being well taken care of and getting attention. I would normally never leave him at a vet's boarding, because the cages are always so small. However, the kennels are inside/outside with an open play area for daily attention. And the whole thing is SO affordable. In the winter, I was concerned about my dog being cold at night, and after I called to check in they intuitively asked... read more

We have been bringing our pet's to White's since I was a child. Most recently they have provided excellent care for my 13 1/2 yr. old Boston Terrier. When we had to have him put down, they were very compassionate. I felt Dr. Kathleen McFarland was very thorough when she explained the procedure to us. We did not feel rushed and felt that she gave us all the time we needed to stay with him throughout the procedure. The White's staff truly cares about the animals.

White's has given us and our pets amazing TLC over the past 20 years. The vets and staff are always professional, knowledgable, helpful and prompt, 7 days a week. I trust White's with my pets, who they know mean the world to me, and my pets LOVE going there.

We have taken our shop cats to White's for at least 18 years & they have always done right by us! They even fit us in for a rush appointment on a Saturday! They are caring & knowledgeable. We would not go to any other vet in town!

Highly recommended and I have taken 3 dogs there. The doctors know what they're doing and the front desk is great. They always make me feel like my dog matters. I've mixed it up with four of their vets and all were most knowledgeable and treated my animals perfectly. When you have an emergency you can't always get your lead vet, but they're all very good. We lost a dog to cancer and they helped us throughout the ordeal with understanding and a lot of input to make the proper decisions. They cut through it and give it to... read more

Very disappointed. The vet and her assistant were very nervous of my nervous but not at all aggressive dog, and their nervousness made her more nervous, and she hid behind me with her tail between her legs whimpering. Long story, but basically they told me they were really worried about the rash I had brought her on for and that she needed a general anaesthetic to check it out. Obviously I panicked a bit and agreed. $800 later the dog has a prescription for a topical mousse. The expensive anasthetic seemed very unecessary!

my review in short'' attitude over animals", the front desk seems like your walking on eggshells with them....I have been a customer at whites for about 20 years, i like Kathy McFarland , I've been a client through several dogs, i brought most recent dog in and got meds for joint pain about 6 weeks later she appeared to be having a series of possible seizures, or?. i looked up on my phone and seizures were a possibility, it crossed my mind that it could be side effect from meds she had just gotten ,... or something else, a ... read more

Business response:

Sorry for your negative experience. After reviewing your chart I see not note of the incident. I will speak with McFarland as well and let her know your concerns.
