During July of 2026, an estimator from the Waite Park, MN office of Your Home Improvement Co. came to my residence to give me an estimate to install a complete bathroom, which had previously been gutted out. This plan was quickly changed to give me an estimate for just a tub with shower enclosure. The estimator tried to offer me a bid that was only good for that day and would go up tomorrow. I hired Your Home Improvement Company for a major window/patio door project at my home in Stevensville, Montana, costing approximately $25,000. The Missoula office of this company should have their business license revoked. They took advantage of my sweet-natured, naive wife while she was undergoing chemotherapy. She wanted both bathrooms remodeled, but they knowingly gave her an impossible two-day timeline for the entire job. Anyone with common sense could see it was unrealistic, yet they pushed ahead anyway. We purchased a fairly large number of windows (all but 2 in our house) from the company about two years ago. When we initially had our consultation, they informed us that they would come out and fix any problem that came up. We had one window with a broken latch. They did replace that window, and understandably, it took a while because they had to order a brand new window. What should have been a straightforward upgrade turned into a frustrating, drawn-out process. It took several weeks to get all of the windows installed, with delays and disruptions along the way that made it far more inconvenient than expected.
