High pressure salespeople. They are happy to make verbal representations and promises. Putting it in the contract is another story. When you point out the broken promises they stop communicating with you. Examples: Salesperson says he doesn't do the measuring that the order is produced off of. I paid and/or had a debt account opened for over $20,000 to have new windows installed in my house and sliding back door. It has been nearly 2 years of constant BS and runaround, or being flat out ignored, from multiple people in the company... or people claiming it wasn't their fault. The windows have yet to be done correctly, there are warranty issues to be taken care of that have yet to be done, and a threat to not do them unless I change my attitude towards them. I would not recommend Your Home Improvement Company to anyone. For us it was a long, drawn out painful experience. It was a poor decision we have regretted deeply. They have questionable business practices, do not follow through with promises, and are badly overpriced. They advertise at Events for Seniors, hoping we might be more vulnerable to their sales tactics. Incorrect measurements, the job was only half completed for months, it took so long they had to close out the finance loan because the company would not longer carry the loan. I then had to pay out of pocket. I definitely do not recommend this company for any window project. A supervisor attempted to come to the house to apologize but he did with his hand out. I am truly sorry I used them. Never again
Terrible company who lies and windows are no better than any basic window. Windows frost over, and don't retain heat. Also they claim a tax write off being triple pane. They can not be written off. Do not trust this company.
Paid for cabinet updates in December. It took an entire year for them to finish, they did a shoddy job, got glue all over my floor and failed to show up multiple times. Now the product is falling apart and the customer service is horrible. It’s taken over a year to replace a couple doors.
I have never had such a bad experience as with YHIC Sioux Falls. Nash was a very high pressure salesman and even though I was not real pleased with the choices and I had made up my mind to check other companies as well, I caved and signed for the remodel to be completed in July. The counter top was flawed according to Lee, the installer, so Nash said he would order a new one. A representative from this company pushed on us a doorless shower design that quite simply isn’t functional. Later when we reached out another representative came to look at it- he admitted he would never sell this shower to anyone but they won’t fix it unless we pay for the resolution. Stay away!
installation was adequate although the shower head leaks. i keep seeing adjustments to my loan with no explanation of the adds. I have repeatedly called, text to and emailed to get a detailed invoice of charges as well as to see if the vanity and sink that did not fit were credited. When calling they pass you from one loser to another as no one knows anything. I ask to speak to a supervisor but told none are available.
