Previous in-line cannisters we have used held more debris, but also permitted more debris to pass through them, creating problems further upstream in the system. 5.0 out of 5 stars Works great! Keeps the big stuff from going into your sand filter Using this with the Polaris Maxx and it's been great so far. It keeps the leaves and bugs from entering the pool's sand filter. The connection points are twist-on which mate up with the hose that came with the Maxx. It also came with adapters to use a standard hose. My only complaint is that it's a little over-priced for what it is but then again, all pool supplies are over-priced.
