Catches leaves but may leak air The old cyclonic leaf catcher wore out after several years so got a replacement. The seal between lid and body or valve on bottom can leak air. A few times have seen the pump running dry with the leaf catcher floating upside down. Have added enough hose weights to keep it underwater. Can see when there's stuff swirling around inside and keeps the pump basket empty. Could use some type of swivel fittings to keep it right side up despite hoses moving around.
Zodiac leaf basket our pool is so clean since we use the zodiac leaf basket , much cheaper than our pool service price ( they sell it as well)

Works great and is a must have!! Being in the southwest we have our pool running year round. We have lots of vegetation in our yard and this does a great job collecting debris before getting to the pool filter. I will always have one of these in my pool. Worth every penny.
Leaf catcher When I was ordering my pool vacuum for a new pool, I saw this item and knew that I needed it. I have a large oak tree near the pool, as well as plenty of shrubbery. It also gets quite windy at times. This item catches the leaves and other debris before they can make it to the filter, saving stress on the machinery and quite helpful for my pool guy as well. Our favirite keaf canister This is our favorite swimming pool leaf canister. So much easier to open & clean than the typical horizontal cleaner. When our kast zodiac canister finslly subcumbed to old age, i pulled a horizontal version out of storage and realize once again why the zodiac is the superior leaf canister. I had to order a replacementZodiac because the standard horizontal ones are so annoying to get apart.
Good Product This is the second one I have purchased for my pool. Recommended. It captures leaves before they get to the pump basket.
Works great/downside it only works on Zodiac hoses Love thos little leaf catcher but downside is it only works on one specific brand cleaner. Since the cleaner I ordered arrived not functional this is useless to me.
