My 100-year-old mother was at La Paloma for 2 1/2 months and absolutely loved it as did I. She has in the last 15 or so years been in a variety of facilities, and this was the first one where she loved it so much, she felt sad to leave. Although the building is old, they are freshening it up, and it is very clean. Everyone there from the MDs, NP, PAs, nurses, OT, PT, speech therapist, CNAs, and housekeeping were beyond great. I would highly recommend La Paloma Healthcare Center. The staff was so attentive and helpful whenever my husband needed attention. The 1st day we met the supervisor, Marivec, and she introduced us to Travis, head of the therapy dept. We also met Dr. Novak, the attending physician. Monday we met with Becky, the speech therapist, and she was very thorough with the swallowing exam and explained everything to us. My mother in law was admitted at La Paloma with a broken hip, and stayed at the facility for almost 2 months. Our whole family was so pleased with the service provided by all staff , nurses, physicians , physical therapist, and the incredible customer service provided by Saray the receptionist . From day one, she welcomed us in such warming and caring way that help us with the daily phone calls . Thank you to all the staff for going the extra mile for my mother in law .

I was on vacation in Southern California, when I fell and fractured my ankle. After recovering from surgery, I had to stay in the area for 2 weeks before I could fly home. I stayed at LA Paloma for 9 days, and I have to say the staff was amazing. From wonderful nurses, CNAs, PTs, OTs, to the kitchen staff, office staff, and house keeping I was treated with professional care and genuine kindness. I am about at the end of a long stay at La Paloma. I have had experiences in other rehab facilities where I was not at all happy La Paloma is a happy surprise! The care is all it should be - prompt, personable and professional. The CNA"s, beginning with Le and everyone else are the absolute best. They have the hardest job and do it with the most caring spirit and they are where healing begins! My husband was admitted to La Paloma for rehabilitation for almost a month, and I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff--the nurses, CNAs, and the physical therapy department--for their care and dedication. We were especially impressed and deeply appreciative of Saray, the front desk receptionist. She was always so welcoming and supportive to our family, showing genuine care and professionalism. No one wants to go to a skilled nursing facility, but after a stint in the hospital, my mom came to La Paloma to get strong enough to get home. I was with her for several hours each day for two weeks, so my review is first hand. The staff here is kind, attentive, and loving. They knew mom's weaknesses and goals and worked to hard to make sure she met them. They communicated clearly and were always checking in to see that her needs were met.
