Out of several food items, atmosphere was unpleasant, beer glass empty and waitress hated life. Food was ok. Just ok.

3 stars for the food. Love the crab cakes. Grilled veggies are worth getting 2 servings of. Atmosphere is awful. Music is way too loud. Everyone is shouting to their friends and family at the table. And they're playing pop music no one seems to be into. Management is Not reading the crowd.

My Husband and I can in for Monday night football and his birthday. We had already celebrated over the weekend but i still wanted to take him out for something special. We sat in the bar area, very nice. The bartenders were our waitress and they were both very nice( i wish i remember there names). If i had any bad thing to say it would be one bartender with brunette hair was definitely working way harder than the blond bartender. Terrible service got dirty cups and took forever to get new ones had water spilt on a sister and law and my 5 month old nephew server never apologized once we got our food had no silverware asked 2 different people finally got some after 5 min of waiting asked to get accommodations for the terrible time and all the manager could do was take off $10 DONT NOT GO !

I waited to write this after my second visit to 54th street. I'd avoided the place because of negative reviews. I ended up there when we were in the area and just needed to grab a quick bite to eat. It was a great experience. The food, service and atmosphere were really good. Maybe it was a fluke? Maybe they were just having a good day? Well, tried it again today and everything was great. First time at this location and it was perfect! Everyone was great, but Imori, our server, definitely was key to this. She was very friendly, attentive, gave great recommendations and even recognized and thanked my husband for his military service. Imori is probably one of the best servers we've ever had! Everyone here worked together as a team to make sure our food and drinks were delivered as soon as they were ready. Everything was delicious and hot food arrived hot and cold food arrived cold. One and done. Never again! Terrible service, my Prime Rib Beef Dip tasted old and spoiled, the coleslaw tasted like old onions, my husbands Mac and was ice cold... need I say more?

It was busy when we arrived. Fortunately, it only took 10 minutes to get a table. Our server, Bryan, was cool and easy-going. The drinks and food came in a timely fashion. It was a typical American restaurant. Nothing fancy. Just a bite to eat. I'll return but won't be in a rush.
