We had an Avaya Analog system that was hard wired in the office. The system was being run by a desktop computer with XP running with 2 gigs of ram. Now I don't have to remote in to that ancient computer and wait for it to reboot after changes to the system have been made or deal with the patch panel of poorly marked terminals to install a new phone extension. 8x8's VOIP made it much easier to manage the lines.
We like that we can program 1 number to reach several cellular devices.
What I appreciate the most about 8x8 is the ease and flexibility to take my office anywhere. I never have to worry about missing a call or not being available or out of reach.

I love being able to share a main office phone number with my assistant as both of us are on the go and neither of us have a set office location
I love the mobility the App provides.Much to my chagrin sometimes, I'm always connected. I like the internetwork functionality and would love to see new functionalities added to the mobile app.
Mobile connectivity. I love that our phone calls also ring on our cell phones and we can IM via the 8x8 app on our phone eliminating the need to give out our personal cell phone numbers.
Our business is alittle unique, as it is pretty much run remotely. We do have a "brick and mortar" location where the CEO runs the business, and an assistant working part-time from that location (and also works remotely too), but most of the operations are run remotely, with our accounting team based in India.
