scanner will not work with Mac 64-bit I've owned two of these scanners for several years. Over the course of the last two years, Apple has changed their OS and the scanners will not work with the Brother software. I can download drivers for the current version of Mac OS. But the software does not work. I had to hunt on the Brother site to learn that it will not work with modern versions of Mac OS. The article reads you can use Apple's scanning software, but it lacks functionality of the Brother software. Waste of money, IMO.
Seriously no cable! Wow you spend over $200 and they can't throw in a $6 cable that would probably cost them 50 cents, in order to make this a complete product that I can actually get set up and start using... Talk about a'la'carte! Sitting here wanting to get started on this scanning but now I wait for a couple extra days for a cable! Wireless yes but they want you to use that cable to get started
Wifi connection unstable This works great, when the wifi decides to work. According to their support, it is "recommended to keep the machine on to maintain a wireless connection" and "we cannot guarantee that turning it off and on will keep a consistent connection". Not performing good It is wireless and portable. The scan quality is not good. It is poor to handle paper over 20. Sometime the paper easy to get stuck. Not happy about this products.

Piece of junk - Don't buy - never worked Did not come with connecting cable; getting the software was a pain. Then even after apparently getting it on the network the machine never worked. It is not user friendly to do diagnostics. Waste of money. Don't buy.
Says you can set up wirelessly but you need to connect by usb to set up and they don't provide usb I got this because of the "Really easy and fast to install and use" bait. And I really hate it when descriptions are misleading. Does not work stupid
Will not connect wirelessly to Mac I purchased this scanner because of a favorable recommendation by Wirecutter. I wanted a wireless compact desktop scanner. It is compact. But, at least with Mac, it is not wireless. I spent four hours of my own time trying every conceivable way to connect wirelessly, with no success.
