Warning to buyers- get extra cable- because it’s not in the box I am trying to set this up and it calls for an extra cable that is NOT included. This is so aggravating. Why not include the darn cable -very rude. Or at the least warn customers to order cable when purchasing item. I have to stop set up now - so I have no idea if this product works - until I go out later today to purchase the cable and continue installation and set up. Very aggravating.
Print well but..... The feature of Wifi printing attracts me when I shop around and then it turns out the nightmare to me. There is only one power code beside the machine. There is no micro USB code which is one head of USB 2.0 and the other of USB 3.0. You have to purchase by yourself if you decide to print on that method. And then I spent over 2 hours waiting and talking brother's customer service rap to help me set up wifi printing. It is a very uncomfortable experience even though the problem did solve. Not for high volume use. Not robust enough for my business
It doesn't work Hello, We have been spending a lot of time trying to get this scanner to work. Finally sat down with an IT friend of ours today and it isn't registering on our computer, we have a printer that works perfectly and no other issue with our computer. We would like to exchange it. Meh..... Why can't I find an affordable scanner that doesn't require me to go through 3 or 4 different steps to scan a document to pdf format? This one requires you to download Paperport (which freezes up constantly.) The "save to PC" feature has never worked for me at all. If you want to scan more than 10 pages, be ready to scan and rescan and rescan to get it to work. Am considering sending this back. I will say I have not called tech support yet because I haven't had time to sit on the phone and strain to decipher broken ... read more
Buggy wireless connectivity Connecting the scanner wirelessly is incredibly unreliable, and the micro usb b cable it requires is rare and not included.
Scanner requires USB Type-C to Micro-B Cable that is not included!! Much to my surprise, the cord required to setup up the wireless scanning function is not included in the box. You must buy a ridiculous USB Type-C to Micro-B 3.1 Cable in order to connect to the scanner so you can use the wifi connection to a PC. Brother, why don't you put the required cords in the box with this product!?! Also, be ready to shell out $40 to replace the separation pad every 10,000 scans. Other than that, it scans well and quickly.
Very difficult to set up on wireless network No tech support to be found. Setup instructions incomprehensible
This machine is worthless, it is not worth 1 cent. It is garbage. No matter how many times you reset this machine, it always fails when you need it the most. I have never had so many problems with this machine. The only satisfaction I got from this machine is when I unplugged and threw it away. Will not by anything from Brother again. They shouldn't be even be called Brother, they should be called INCOMPETENT.
