After doing extensive research on orthopedic surgeons and hospitals in Pennsylvania, I chose Dr. McLawhorn at HSS in NYC. The nurses at HSS were kind and responded to my calls almost immediately. The hospital was clean and efficient. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. McLawhorn. Besides getting me back to tennis, golf, biking and other sports within 3 months, I appear to have zero leg discrepancy. I am totally happy with my knee replacement. It is 3 months since my surgery and I can do whatever I want without pain.
My 87 year old mother had a TRH replacement in September 2019. Almost 4 months after her surgery, I received this email from her personal trainer: "I just wanted to quickly touch base again to say how “AMAZING” your mom is doing after the hip replacement! Dr. McLawhorn is a responsive, responsible orthopedic surgeon. I had my hip replaced and was pain-free and able to walk, including climbing up and down stairs, the same day as my total hip replacement surgery. I was in and out of the hospital within 1 day. I have full confidence in Dr. Mc Lawhorn's skills and abilities and feel completely comfortable recommending him.
Lovely manner, calm and proficient. He has performed two anterior hip replacements allowing me to feel young and maintain an active lifestyle. Highly recommend his care and treatment.
