My visits were great as the staff was very kind and helpful. Dr. McLawhorn was on-time, took his time and invited questions.
Dr. McLawhorn is a responsive, responsible orthopedic surgeon. I had my hip replaced and was pain-free and able to walk, including climbing up and down stairs, the same day as my total hip replacement surgery. I was in and out of the hospital within 1 day. I have full confidence in Dr. Mc Lawhorn's skills and abilities and feel completely comfortable recommending him.
Lovely manner, calm and proficient. He has performed two anterior hip replacements allowing me to feel young and maintain an active lifestyle. Highly recommend his care and treatment.
I have already recommended Dr. McLawhorn to many of my friends experiencing hip and knee issues. He replaced my hip in 2017 and my knee in 2019 and my recoveries were outstanding. He helped me determine which joint to replace first to result in the best recovery. He is a good listener and takes into account the whole patient.
I would recommend without any hesitation. He is patient, professional & calming with an excellent bedside manner. I never felt rushed with visits which enabled me to remember and ask any questions I had. Very smooth process from start to finish.
Dr. Mclawhorn a terrific surgeon, I had a total knee replacement on December 7th 2019, will highly recommend him no pain and is just 6 weeks, I had my post op visit yesterday , and only good news, I'm traveling to Europe in March. For more than a year of living in pain and being misdiagnosed, I experienced doctor visits that ranged from indifference, to incompetence, to uncaring. I had an amazingly positive experience with my total hip replacement thanks to Dr. McLawhorn and the wonderful staff at HSS. From beginning to end, Dr. McLawhorn took the time to listen to my concerns. I never felt "rushed", nor was I ever not at ease about the procedure, nor, after surgery, was I ever in any great pain.
