Dr. McLawhorn recently replaced my right hip. Before undergoing surgery, I was quite nervous about making this decision, but he helped put my mind at ease. He is extremely personable and takes time to listen to your concerns and answer any questions you might have. Best of all, he does an amazing job in surgery. On my consult with Dr. McLawhorn several months ago, he was professional, thorough and very compassionate. I found his staff to be friendly and eager to assist me. Extraordinary professional, both as a highly skilled physician and as a thoughtful, caring human being.
I had anterior total hip replacement surgery with Dr. McLawhorn and am amazed at the results. I was out of the hospital within 24 hours of surgery, was off the cane in a few days and within two weeks walking quite normally. At five weeks, I am almost done with outpatient PT as range of motion of hip and strength in leg is good.
