Well, i will start with the biggest issue PRICE! I was quoted a range of $300-500. Ended up paying $1100 for 16 items. was called 2 different times to confirm address and contents, second call i was told the other guy didnt save the information. Was told that the movers would be at my house between 8-9 showed up at 9:15. then they started wrapping EVERYTHING with tape, blankets, and wrap. Well, I'm not one to publicly complain about companies, but when there is one as horrible as this one, I feel compelled. My experience wasn't the best, and to be honest I feel slightly scammed. I was moving to a 1 bedroom from my 2 bedroom in the same complex, just a different building. They quoted me 159/hr and with an estimate of 2 hrs the rate would be around $553. I figured since I don't have a lot of stuff and I'm in the same complex without needing to travel that it could be done fairly quickly. Well where do we start? Not recommended. Please please shop around for other companies and research reviews. Had a really nice man convincing us to consider this company over Black Tie that quoted us $5K less on bid vs all my sons. Unfortunately we chose them. I booked All My Sons last night to move my daughters 1 bedroom to a 1 bedroom apt. I was quoted 1 hr travel time $139 + a minimum of two hours in additional at $139 Hr. This morning I get a confirmation call and was told there is an additional fuel charge of 16% of the entire bill even though your already paying $139 travel fee. Oh Yeah and we need to add a packing fee even if we pack our own things they mandate they wrap all contents going into the truck, as well as a plastic mattress cover. For 1 hour and 30 minutes job, I got charged over $600. They charged me from time they left the office to my home as well as they go back to their office. Hourly rate+ truck moving time + fuel charge + material charge (covering material)+ they own travel from office to home + home to their office... Will you be happy to see this bill ? Too many hidden costs !
DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!!! Received proposal and made a deposit based on 2 men at a 3 hour minimum 2 days prior to the move was told by Frank that I needed 3 men at a higher hourly rate and 3 hour minimum. Keep in mind it's a 1 bedroom apartment. 3 men showed up on the day of move and when I questioned AMS they said I had 3 men at the two man rate and then pulled 1 man to another job. Many hidden costs. Management is extremely customer unfriendly and when we tried to explain our problem all the manager and employee did was argue extensively with us. Hugely disrespectful. Never did hear our full story. Additionally, they got lost while trying to find our place and charged us for all the extra time (almost an hour). The guys who did the actual moving were great and very understanding, and they worked very hard. Our issues were with management.
Do not use this company, they are constantly screwing there employees every single week by not getting there checks right and paying what the employees are owed, they hire a bunch of kids that they think won't notice they aren't getting paid correctly
