Online reporting and easy to schedule repairs. No "emergency repairs" as part of the service. A/C is essential in the South, health hazards if it is broken and unrepaired for days.
Quick response to our needs to get our refrigerator fixed. Once it was determined it was not fixable, the communication was great about working towards a replacement.
What I don't like is that the price has gone up over the last 20-30 years ...imagine that :-) What I do like is that AHS has been worth every penny for us. The service has been prompt - even when the contractors had issues with the fix on a couple occasions. The service calls were easy to make, the contractors were quickly dispatched and friendly and informative - and not ever condescending to a woman - which should be the norm, but often isn't.

We have had American Home Shield (AMS) for over 6 years and have found them to be responsive and equipped with the resources to cover our household's major appliances at every turn. In full disclosure, at first, I thought it was cumbersome to get issues resolved, but as an engineer, I could see how AMS retooled several front-end processes and we have never had a hitch in getting a technician to accurately assess any potential problems and respond rapidly to them resolved.
