Maya the cat needed to see a vet. I had taken her to Animal Kind on her last Dr visit ages ago but to be honest couldn't remember which place it had been. After reading reviews until my head spun I made an appointment there (wasn't until they pulled up her record that I realized this was the place). After this and a follow up I can't praise Dr. Salas enough. My family has been using animal kind for over 20 years. Dr. Gibson took care of my dog princess a rottweiler from 6months old until she passed away at the ripe old age of 15. Over the years I have had many cats come in and out of there and all of the doctors have treated us well. Some doctors are more chatty than others however, they all are professional and try to give you an honest diagnosis and realistic treatment options. The person behind the counter, the vet tech, and the vet herself were all wonderful! They were wonderful my cat, whose eye got scratched or bitten (not sure, didn't witness it) by my dog at an hour when most vets are already closed. They were also wonderful to me, while I was panicking in a way that probably rendered me worse off than my cat. Great bedside manner - you can tell they really care about animals! Thank you, Animal Kind :)
I've seen several good doctors here, but Dr. Salas keeps me loyal to Animal Kind. I've taken my dogs to her for twelve years-- I trust her advice, she is so kind and understanding, she'll personally call and follow-up when needed, and dogs love her. Even my last dog who'd scream and snarl and try to bite the staff--- I always had the feeling that Dr. Salas saw the best in him and understood my love for that quirky little chihuahua.
The service at Animal Kind is beyond match. Not only the way in which they treat dogs, but also humans in explaining the medical problems and answering questions. I highly recommend.
I want to share the note I just sent to the wonderful staff at Animal Kind. My two cats were taken care of by these wonderful people for 17 and 16 years, respectively. I take my cats, Simon and Theodore to Animal Kind . . . out vet is Dr. Morehead. I've always found the entire staff to be very kind and super efficient. Dr. Morehead has treated Simon for bladder stones and is now helping Theodore with digestive issues. I would recommend Animal Kind over and over and over!
