I have two dachshunds and am an admittedly nuts over the slightest thing that might ever be wrong with them, particularly the 14-year-old, who recently suffered from a back injury. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Morehead is, and how lucky we feel to have found him. He's probably the best vet we've ever had - smart, thorough, patient and really listens. We took our English bulldog to Dr. Witherell when he was still in our foster care. As new dog parents we weren't sure to expect and were looking for someone with enough patience to answer all of our questions. Dr. Witherell is fantastic...so much so that we've kept her as our vet even after moving out of South Slope. She understands bulldogs' typical health problems and puts us at ease after every visit. Honestly it is hard to find a good Vet in NYC, but this place was so helpful and treated my fur babies with love. They are friendly and super convenient.

They have a friendly and helpful staff. When I took brought my two labs here they both seemed to feel alright. The nurse and the vet helped them feel at ease in the check up room. When I have called in with questions they have always taken their time to answer what they could which I have been surprised about and have really appreciated. Except for that one time when I found a newborn mouse and didn't want to kill it, so I called them and they told me they didn't take in mice. Figures. But w.e. The place has great ho... read more

I have been going to animal kind for every pet I ever had since I was a young girl. My vet has changed throughout the years. I have two dogs, and a rabbit. The three of my pets see Dr. Salas. She is absolutely knowledgable, lovely, patient, and understanding. She has been my vet for about almost 6 years now. The prices here are a little over-priced. Animal kind has been amazing to us and our cat Kelly. They always call to check on her two days after our appointment. They have been nothing but kind during our pet emergencies. We live in bay ridge but travel to park slope just to see these great doctors!

We took our indoor cat for her annual check up and vaccination update and it was a great experience! No powerful pet odors, nice, spacious rooms, friendly staff and doctors. The fees are reasonable and I'm really glad it's not overly priced just because of the location. I'm happy this hospital is by where we live and hopefully this is our cat's new vet home.

Very knowledgable staff, Animal Kind does the necessary measures to make sure your pet is healthy, without doing any unneeded procedures. Dr. Black is great - the entire staff is kind and patient - best animal clinic, in my opinion.

I never had an issue with any of the staff at Animal Kind. We have always been treated very well. What issue I have is their prices. I have only taken my pets there for minor issues and even those minor issues cost more than me going to my doctor. Going in for a regular check up will end up putting you over $200 in the hole. Asking beforehand doesn't help because when you get there, they always say "Oh, you should also get this done and that done ." Every time we go in, it is the same thing.
