Lulamae our dog loves going to Animal Kind. She loves the kind and friendly staff and pulls as we get closer to arrival. She doesn't object to the vets and staff touching her and actually likes being there. I find the vets and staff knowlegable and helpful showing patience and compassion for both animal and human (who is usually worried and hoping for the best.) The front desk and groomer were amazing. They're very upfront about the costs and went out of their way to help keep my visit within (and even below) budget. I've tried a lot of different vets and this was only my visit to Animal Kind, but I would trust them completely without worrying that they're trying to overcharge me.
I have two dachshunds and am an admittedly nuts over the slightest thing that might ever be wrong with them, particularly the 14-year-old, who recently suffered from a back injury. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Morehead is, and how lucky we feel to have found him. He's probably the best vet we've ever had - smart, thorough, patient and really listens. We took our English bulldog to Dr. Witherell when he was still in our foster care. As new dog parents we weren't sure to expect and were looking for someone with enough patience to answer all of our questions. Dr. Witherell is fantastic...so much so that we've kept her as our vet even after moving out of South Slope. She understands bulldogs' typical health problems and puts us at ease after every visit. Honestly it is hard to find a good Vet in NYC, but this place was so helpful and treated my fur babies with love. They are friendly and super convenient.
They have a friendly and helpful staff. When I took brought my two labs here they both seemed to feel alright. The nurse and the vet helped them feel at ease in the check up room. When I have called in with questions they have always taken their time to answer what they could which I have been surprised about and have really appreciated. I have been going to animal kind for every pet I ever had since I was a young girl. My vet has changed throughout the years. I have two dogs, and a rabbit. The three of my pets see Dr. Salas. She is absolutely knowledgable, lovely, patient, and understanding. She has been my vet for about almost 6 years now. The prices here are a little over-priced. Animal kind has been amazing to us and our cat Kelly. They always call to check on her two days after our appointment. They have been nothing but kind during our pet emergencies. We live in bay ridge but travel to park slope just to see these great doctors!
We took our indoor cat for her annual check up and vaccination update and it was a great experience! No powerful pet odors, nice, spacious rooms, friendly staff and doctors. The fees are reasonable and I'm really glad it's not overly priced just because of the location. I'm happy this hospital is by where we live and hopefully this is our cat's new vet home.
