WOW is all I can say about this clinic and their vets! i took my pregnant Yorkie there yesterday on 5/30/2013 and they took an X-ray and it showed that she had 7 puppies in there, I was EXCITED to say the least! Then later on that night she went into labor and i started to panic a little because the first one was not alive,So I rushed her back there during their emergency hour which theres a fee for + the cost of service. Animal Kind has been our vet for over 10 years for all our dogs and cats. Yep, they are not cheap but they are definitely very knowledgeable and professional. They've been honest with us when it was time to terminate treatment and not extend our old dog's life any further. They saved our cat's life when she had escaped and was hit by a car and they stitched up our poor puppy when she was attacked by a pit bull in Prospect Park. We love them and we trust their recommendations.

I have been taking my cats to Animal Kind for over 9 years. We love love love this place. No (as someone wrote) they are not the cheapest but the quality of care is above and beyond. We particularly like Dr. Gibson, Dr. Moorehead (YAY Dr. Moorehead) and Dr. Witherell. The staff is excellent as well. Not only have I done routine check ups here but have done everything from tooth extractions to sadly, euthanized two wonderful pets. They are respectful, courteous and above all kind and gentle with my animals.

I have been taking my cats to Animal Kind for almost 10 years now, and I think they are wonderful. They aren't the cheapest, but I think that the quality of care is really the best in town. 7 years ago, my beloved Manx kitty became very ill and needed all kinds of emergency treatment - they actually cut a few thousand dollars off the bill out of compassion for our situation. I found AK more than 10 years ago, when I first moved to NY. My cat Stella is healthy but VERY accident prone...First her tail got slammed in the door and.......(yikes!).....the bone was hanging out. To say it was horrifying barely scratches the surface, but AK got everything under control quickly, and treated her (and batsh*t crazy me) with compassion. 2 stars because they haven't actually harmed my pets, and the vet techs seem to really like the animals, BUT... The level of frustration I feel every time I have an interaction at this vet makes me kick myself for not having found a new vet already. The basics- overpriced and impossible to get appointments. Vets inconsistent in treatment plans. Front desk staff is often VERY rude. Oh, and they cancel your appointments if you don't confirm the day before (they send out confirmations 2 hours before closing, so hopefully you ... read more

Nothing I will never go there again. My dog had abnormal blood results and I was not informed until 6 weeks after the blood was drawn. I consider this negligence, when confronted I was told my dog's blood results had "slipped through the cracks."

DO NOT COME HERE. Our dog came back from her routine spay with huge, bloody, oozing razor burns, which the staff did not alert us to (see below, circled in red-- this was after a few days of healing). Now that the scabs have healed, we see that they shaved off one of her nipples. The hospital made several careless errors when registering her for the pet recovery service (which moots the purpose of the service entirely), and has not responded to three follow up emails over the course of over a week to correct their error. I want to add something here because they did call me and apologize and offer a free exam. I appreciate the thought but there was no promise that this would never happen again or to retrain reception. If my pet had been having an emergency--as tends to happen when you're calling a vet--and the receptionist HUNG UP on me because she didn't like the way I was speaking (I tend to speak very quickly when I'm upset or anxious) then that would be the most stressful thing I can imagine.
