They do not care about you or your dog! I took my dog in and was waiting for lab results. I called to see what the results were and they did not want to tell me, because the vet that took care of her wasn't there. I explained to them that the bump was getting worse and would just like for them to tell me what the lab results said. They showed no remorse for my dog and told me that only a vet that saw her could tell me. How difficult can it be to just say what the results were over the phone! I called asking for information regarding clinic visit price, health certificate prices and the person that picked up the phone was very rude and did know how much it would cost the health certificate, I hope I do not need to take my dog there anymore.

I used to be a loyal Animal Kind-goer, but they've slipped in quality in recent years. Their office staff consistently makes mistakes, doesn't call back, doesn't get back to you with test results when promised, and is while sometimes pleasant, are pretty rude when there's an issue. More than that, the costs have skyrocketed there, and I recently discovered that the difference in price for a prescription there versus 1800PetMeds is more than double at Animal Kind! We used to go to Animal Kind and decided to transfer our business elsewhere as we found another place in the neighborhood that better handled the needs of our senior cats at a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately our current regular vet only visits with cats and dogs and we were recently in need of an exotics specialist. After calling a number of places we were told by the front desk that Animal Kind did indeed have an exotics specialist. I'm new to the neighborhood and had a pretty disappointing experience here. I don't plan on returning or using their services for my dogs. Here's what happened. Because of a mix-up with a script, my dogs' usual vet offered to call in a prescription to a local vet so I'd be able to get my dog's medication in time without traveling back to his office in Manhattan. They have no idea what they're doing. Brought my cat in for worms. They "treated" her, but she still had worms and wanted to charge me more money to bring her in again after they failed to treat her. They only care about money. Stay away, much better vets in Brooklyn.

I have never written a Yelp review but I am so compelled to warn people to stay away from this animal hospital. I took a stray cat here and was assured she was not pregnant. They vaccinated her and said to wait to get her spayed. It turns out she was pregnant. A few weeks later I come home to a dead kitten on my couch, possibly due to the vaccines. Luckily the mother was ok. I called the vet and they wanted to charge me again to check up on her. They are greedy they don't care about your animals. They are far from kind.

Do NOT go here. I had a dog for 17 years and a cat for 18. Both died this year. In that time I have seen numerous vets and this is the worst experience of incompetence I have ever had. This is the first time I have ever written a review of any kind--that is how angry I am. To the point, I came in to put my dog down. Obviously a very difficult thing. They sucked. The woman working the front desk, who I assume answers the phones as well, was difficult to work with and a PITA. Other than that the experience was decent. Test results too longer than they said it would. just a headache dealing with them.
