I took my cat here once right before the pandemic after having a terrible experience with another vet. Everything was fantastic. This pretentious ass front desk really didn't couldn't handle the simple task of weighing my puppy, simply because I'm not a client of theirs. It's literally something you can do in seconds. Talk about a bad first impression. Fuck off. You lost a potential client for no reason.

The turnover of vets over 6 years has been high. The vers don't really communicate with each other and often contradict each other. Certain vets don't understand particular breeds and are surly. The only good thing I can say is that they're more available in an emergency. Don't recommend them at all Unless you're desperate. Two thumbs down.

After reading the reviews, I called today to make an appointment for my 3 yr old Yorkie Terrier mix. The appointment I was given was 3 weeks in advance so I asked if I can bring my dog in to get her nails trimmed before the appointment date, which would have been a separate appt, and I was told no I have to wait until the appointment. The guy who answered the phone seem to have a an attitude and after the appointment was confirmed preceded to tell me I need to pay $77 for the appointment on the phone at this time. I hope that one day customers too will have Yelp ratings of their own. And today I was a frustrated and shitty customer . 3 stars for me (one for patience, one for 8 years of loyalty, and one for paying the $400 bill). Minus 2 for losing my $hit because without warning my appointment was egregiously behind schedule and ended up taking 90 minutes (60 waiting, 20 minute exam, 10 minutes being scolded by staff). Still waiting for a call back from a veterinarian for over a week now! This can't be the same Animal Kind I went to years ago. Sorry for the novella but not used to review writing and sharing for pet parents because of the stress and anxiety I experienced. I've been bringing my dogs here for many years and until recent change in management - was always very happy with the care they received. Things have changed dramatically from a customer service perspective. It is now near impossible to get an appointment for the same day (or week!) if your dog is sick - and they've instituted a $150 fee for unscheduled appointments. To be honest, if I was rating on the experiences I had from say, 2015-2020, I'd give them 5 stars- all of the vets were great, friendly, caring and informative. However, we brought our elderly cat in last spring and she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I have been a patient of this vet with three dogs and two cats. In recent years the quality seems to have gone downhill. When my dog blew out two CCL's and needed a painkiller they took an excruciatingly long time to have a doctor review and approve leaving my dog in pain for multiple days while they engaged in bureaucratic nonsense. I will not return to this vet
