I had an appointment for a standard 6 months cleaning and exam. The receptionist told me it would cost $193.00. I told her I have preventative insurance and it should be 100% covered and she just looked at the computer and said "It's telling me it's $193.00"? She was completely clueless. Every other dentist I have visited would look up the insurance and explain how it is or is not covered. Let me start by stating that I have a real phobia when it comes to dentists. The reason why I have a phobia is because of dentists such as the people at Aspen Dental in Beaverton. I scheduled an appointment with them because I was in tremendous pain with an exposed nerve on a tooth that had crumbled. When I found MY dentist 24 years ago I was SO happy because I had been to Willamette Dental and had a horrible experience! I have used the same amazing dentist (I wont name him because it's already hard enough to get an appointment and don't want him to get so busy I can never get in...... sorry) for over 2 decades!!!! They tried to sell me a tooth brush "Yeah, we just include the tooth brush for you", but when I declined the price for service dropped $150 or something. They canceled my cleaning appointment 3 times. When I called in to schedule an appointment the kid said we can do this date so i agreed then he changed it 3 times before i actually was setup. Please read Friends of Beaverton area, NEVER EVER go to Aspen Dental situated on NW Town Center Drive, Beaverton. They are liars and unprofessionals! They are going to charge you a LOT OF MONEY and say that you need treatment that you DON'T really need! They are going to screw up your teeth IN PURPOSE and you are going to stay in pain for weeks in a row. I wish I had read these reviews before taking my 85 yo mother to them today. I wouldn't take ANYONE, if I cared about them or not, to this horrific hell hole they try to pass off as a dentist office. They are out for one thing and one thing only - to rip you off! Do not even CONSIDER going there. I took my mom in to discuss getting a replacement denture plate for her. Recently moved to the Beaverton area and was looking for a dentist. Thought we'd try the aspen dental off town center as it appeared to be nice. My brother and I are covered under the same insurance and went in at the same time. After x rays and speaking with the dentist. They advised deep cleanings for both of us. No cavities no craziness going on with either of our teeth. However, the deep cleans cost almost $500 out of pocket. I called back to ask can we just get the standard cleaning covered by insurance. I left the office with a tear not a smile. Worst service ever. I lost my word. I wanted to cry!! I was completely ignored until I finally got up and asked why i was not called in. They said they had to clean up the room. Seriously? They couldn't tell me how long I had to wait. I couldn't wait any more so I left for nothing.
Horrible dentist. I arrived for my appointment and after I had filled out my paperwork, it took them over an hour to get my exam started. While waiting, I heard the conversations between the receptionist and the customers over the phone. Over the course of that hour, she had received at least 6 phone calls of unhappy customers about their unexplained charges. By this point, I should have left and saved myself my time.
