There are some positives about this office, but overall I would have to caution against using Aspen Dental overall. The first issue is the pressure they put on you in the office. I was told I had periodontal disease, something that surprised me as I've always had decent oral hygiene. In order to combat this and not lose my teeth (a concern they stressed multiple times), I would need to do a full cleaning that can take up to two hours three times a year. Don't go here :( I choose Aspen because I needed my wisdom teeth removed as well as have a check up (since I hadn't seen the dentist in a few years). I honestly thought all went well during my initial appointment and was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism. I ended up getting my wisdom teeth extracted elsewhere due to the close proximity of the root and my jaw nerve but went ahead and scheduled my cavities to be taken care of. I don't know if I came in on a bad day (2 days in a row) or what, but the dentist I dealt with was rude and condescending. Dr Mobai barely spent two minutes in the room with me at a time, and I don't think she said more than five sentences to me. The whole ordeal felt rushed and like they just wanted to get me out. After numbing me, she went in with some sort of chisel like tool to pry my tooth out and when I said it hurt still, she shot some more novacain into my gums. The worst experience ever. The "doctor" as the staff called her was THE worse. Would not listen to anything my husband tried to tell her. So many fittings and still not wanting to hear about where the dentures were NOT fitting properly. Office was NOT clean and none of the staff washed hands prior to doing any care. The staff put on gloves but again no hand washing before or after taking gloves off. Worse service provider I have ever used. Cancelled appointments without telling me. Billed me for services after I paid out of pocket on the front end, only to day that there were additional services with the procedures that insurance would not cover. Did not provide breakdown of the services until after the fact.

I came here because it was in my PPO network. After receiving X-rays I was moved to a chair where I assumed I'd be receiving a cleaning from the hygienist. The hygienist walks in and doesn't acknowledge me at all as she reminds the X-ray tech to go over some information with me. I thought "that was rude", then the X-ray tech suggests that I use this fancy Oral-B electric toothbrush before the dental hygienist cleans my teeth. I was confused, " isn't that why I'm here? This was my first appointment for dentures. I was unaware I had to bring a printed discount coupon on my first visit in order for it to be applied. I did mention the discount but nothing became of it. I have great dental insurance. The fact of the matter is that after the xrays and exam you're invited to talk terms of coverage and monetary exspense with their car salesman...I mean "manager". I scheduled an early morning appointment to get my teeth cleaned and showed up on time despite there being a little bit of snow on the ground. The hygienist was not able to make it and no one bothered to call and let me know. The front staff said they weren't open yet since I was the first appointment, so there was no way to do so. Seriously? You don't have a cell phone and access to schedules? Very unprofessional. There's no excuse for not having a system in place to notify clients if there appointment is cancelled. Be very aware of your bill! Aspen gave me a quote of $2200 for 2 crowns and to remove a tooth. I had the 2 crowns done and the bill came to $4600 dollars. I had not even had the tooth extracted. I brought it to their attention and they told me that is just what I had to pay. I was using Dental First financing and Aspen put the entire amount on this card.
