Since I used to serve in a fine dining venue, I pay acute attention to the execution of details. When I start feeling like I'm being indulged instead of "inspecting the troops", I know that I'm in good hands. Andy and Cassidy are a nearly flawless team, with frequent (but not annoying) personal contact with their diners. And needless to say, the food was impeccable.
Our overall dining experience was, as always, perfect. Though Bacchus is no longer a new restaurant they continue to stay current with drink and food trends without sacrificing quality. Our meal began with the best scallop dish I have ever had and continued to get better from there.
Great atmosphere - terrific wait staff - fantastic food
The food was fantastic. Absolutely delicious. And an amazing winelist. Oh yeah, they provided a free desert for my girlfriend as we went out for her birthday! Doesn't get much better than that.
We haven't been to Bacchus in a while, and we were pleased with our overall dining experience. The bartenders with their craft cocktails were very entertaining. We wished they still had their prix fixe menu, but nonetheless our meal was wonderful. Was also impressed with the wines offered by the glass. We will certainly return.
This is our favorite Bartolotta restaurant.Ambiance and food is outstanding.Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Very excellent. I took my girlfriend there for a special occasion. We had the foie gras, the pork belly, the veal (medium rare), the braised short ribs, two glasses of wine, and espressos with desert. I was very impressed since food was so excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to taste the best gourmet food in Milwaukee! In my opinion, this restaurant is better than the other Bartolotta restaurants.
Bacchus is a delightful, quiet spot for a wonderful dinner. Cannot wait to return to see what the lake looks like in the daylight when the wind and snow flurries are not howling.
