Wait 15 min after we were seated, had to tell the host we were forgotten about. Host said he’d comp our first drink and forgot about that too. Just not the same caliber of service Bacchus once was.
My experience was the same as the other two times since the remodel some three years ago. Just awful. Why what should be a crown jewel of Milwaukee restaurants and the best Bartolla has to offer is almost offensive to the senses to experience is beyond me. Loud piped in music that you can’t talk over. Lighting that accentuates ever wrinkle in your face and service that is almost openly hostile to the customer. Do not waste your time going here. Don’t advertise fresh mozzarella and serve dried hard mozzarella 😞. Same goes for peaches and ice cream.
My wife and I chosed the five course meal and felt the meals were good to OK. We started with diced pickled beets which was a taste of sour and sweet which may of been the best course of the night. The scallop dish was amazing. Mozzarella dish was OK but nothing special. My wife cannot eat onions so she only got squash on the ragu which was bland and tasteless. Everything started out well. Our first courses were fantastic. Entrees we’re served cold, the time between entree and dessert was 15-20 mins, way too long. Our water & drink glasses went unfilled. We had to ask for coffee twice. I’ve been a fan of all the Barlolotta for years. I honestly cannot imagine going back. The service was not worth the price.
Somewhat disappointed in the meal.The pre fixe menu contains a number of up charges and the portions are small. The excruciatingly thinly sliced bread (basket ) is a reminder that Bacchus, like other restaurants, is stretching things as thinly as possible to be profitable.

Pretty mediocre for what we paid. First, we ordered an expensive wine. We were served and ate our appetizers before the wine was opened, and that was only after I asked the server where it was (and she seemed surprised). Second, the wagyu steak was not terrible tender and was chewy (and the side very blah and not well plated). This used to be my favorite place in Milwaukee. Since Covid it has gone downhill fast. It’s not the 5 star dining experience it once was and the food not as mouth watering as before. Pretty basic eating out experience and for the $$$ it becomes less and less worth it.
