The 5 course sampler was outstanding. Everything went well through the 4th course at which time the service got very slow and remained so through desert , coffee, and the check. We told our two servers, but they were very evasive with their response so we never determined what had caused this irritating slowdown. the
Service was great, food was sub par. Spent over $300, on wine, filet and strip. I like my steak pretty rare, however medium-rare at this restaurant is black and blue, sent back to the kitchen twice and didn't seem like they cooked it and put it back on the table. My strip had a lot of hard tendons, also extremely rare and cold. I decided not to say anything to not make my dinner any more awkward. I love bartolottas but sadly will not be going back to Bacchus again.
This restaurant was on our list to hit inn Milwaukee and we decided to go there on a Friday night. Understandably, a party of 8 isn’t small. However, at the time, there were only 4 other tables of diners. Our server was smirky, unfriendly, unaccommodating to a small request for some other vegetable other than what came with a meal, and overall, made everyone feel like we were wasting our money. Mother’s Day, overall slow service. didn’t seem to care.
Although our server was very polite, he was disorganized and inattentive. When he starts a task, he needs to finish it; he also needs to develop a more methodical process (this is coming from a server). For example, take drink orders immediately (we sat there for 10 minutes before he took our cocktail orders), take all of the menus from the table at once (it took him two trips for both the dinner and dessert menus because he got sidetracked both times with another table or task), check all the waters for refilling at the sam... read more
Unfortunately the food was cold and the service was slow.
Mother’s Day brunch
Everything was good, except two things. All the food came out a bit cold and the tres leche was not a tres leche at all.
Not busy but waiter paid no attention to us. Served the sparkling wine warm. Just so not impressed.
