Have spent last ten years at both Easter and mothers day at a batolottas rest. Recently a great experience on Easter at Joey Gerard's .menu at Bacchus was from 2010, crabmeat was anything but back fin Lump, and the portion of coconut cake was embarrising .as a family we frequent many bartolotta's rest. And have never been displeased.
Curried Squash Soup Loved it! Truffled Mushroom Risotto Pasty texture. Flavor was nothing to rave about. Missing on this one. Orecchiette Pasta Squash cubed into very small pieces and not too many. Brussels sprouts were more like leaves than anything and not too much again. It was good, but great no. Could have made this at home. Servers - Susie and Jennifer. very attentive to our table. Susie was a pleasure!
I would expect much better for a resturant of this level. The waiter was arrogant, we were never told of any specials. We didn't find out until the table next to us was told. After waiting over an hour for a table we had to ask when we would be seated. Bar tab was not on the bill. When we asked about it, they acted as if it was an inconvenience and never thanked us. Food was good, but would not go back!
I booked this reservation for a birthday dinner with my girlfriend. On the reservation, I asked if they could do something special for her birthday, similar to the requests I've made at other Bartolotta restaurants. I was disappointed when we left that evening and they had not fulfilled my request. Halibut was dry and the Lamb tasted good but was very fatty.
My husband and I do not get to get out much with 3 young children, however when we do we enjoy going to Bartolotta's restaurants because of the food and loyalty program. We enjoy Bacchus the most because it is always very intimate when all we want to do is be alone and quiet together. We asked our waitress if we could "split" 2 meals so we could each try each others meal. The "chef" would not do this...our waitress told us he said it would ruin the integrity of the meal....it was filet and lobster that was not even in the shell.... So she brought out 2 plates and we did it ourselves. Food was good but this was easily something that could have been done in the kitchen. I expect that at an Applebee's......not at a ***** restaurant. Bad move for Bacchus.....
went there on a Monday night. Food highly disappointing compared to that of a year ago on a Saturday. Not sure if it has to do with the chef working or not? Bottom line, not worth the money spent. We went a year earlier and considered it worth it but this time it was a real let down.
Was extremely disappointed with the food portion and quality. For as much money as they are charging, was not impressed and extremely felt overcharged.
