I called this place to pick up a pet who was creamated. While on hold the recording promoted the benefits of declawing your cats so they don't damage furniture. I think New York and other states recently banned this awful practice. It's very disappointing this place not only still engages in it but that they are quick to put a cats life beneath that of furniture. I recommend that if you are concerned about harmful practices to animals that you not patronize a place which happily performs these procedures. Stay away

Shawn, we are very sorry for the loss of your pet. We know how difficult it is to lose a furry family member. Thank you for providing your feedback about our hold messages. We do want to clarify that declaws are no longer performed at our practice since the ban was set in place in July 2019. NY is the first state to ban the procedure. Our hold messages have since been updated and did not reflect our views on declawing when the procedure was still allowed.
My experience with this location hasn't been so good. First time when I showed up for my puppy's appointment, they told me that the appointment wasn't in the system. Then they confirmed that I did have a appointment on this day according the medical record. After all, I had to wait for at least 1 hour at the waiting area then by the time I left the office it was 3 hours later. A money pit.....just want money! Dr. Charos is rude and charges for everything! Terrible vet. Would not recommend! Stay far away!
I have been going here for years and thought they were great. I recently got a new puppy and it's been problem after problem. They don't care about you or your animal only care about the money. Stay away. I'm switching vets ASAP!!!

The vet with long white hair is horrible and abusive to clients. I went there to get the free shots associated with the pet shop I purchased my puppy at. The first time we went it was supposed to be free but instead we walked out with a 150$ bill. I told them multiple times I did not want to pay anything because I planned on taking him to the vet my other dogs go to. Make sure to compare the price with other clinics before you want to bring your pets there!
Id give it negative stars if possible. I only came here because when I bought my puppy, the store was affiliated and was told all my shots would be free. Free was opposite of all the money I spent that first month. Aside from that .. my puppy got sick and fainted I quickly rushed him to them where they told me they would keep him over night. The next day I went to pick him up and they told me he was fine - no explanation of what had happened and then charged me $1700 !!! I was told to fix him it would be a minimum of $1000. ... read more
