Good service, quick turn on my to-go phone order, good food, well priced. A few bad reviews - try them before you base it on the bad reviews - def better than the last place that was at the same location.
I will say that my experiences with Big City Wings has been varied. Both times I ordered my food to-go, the service has been friendly and fast, with the food hot and fresh. Regardless of dining in or out, the wings were flavorful, had a nice crispy outside, and weren't fatty like at other places. The waffle fries were a little lackluster, but dip them in some wing sauce and problem solved. My biggest problem was dining in. Better than the old Sammys for sure but still lacking good service. The bone in wings are VERY good although the hot is more of a medium heat. Filled baked potatoes are also good as well as the grilled chicken sandwich and waffle fries. Not near as good as Tailgaters but it has potential if run right.
The general manager at this location by the name of Matthew is not pleasant and I'm honestly shocked that this establishment has the is person as their "general manager". He was highly unprofessional and did not offer any type of solution or resolution to my issue. I order some wings for myself and my family and the bill was close to $60. Went to lunch today. Ordered bone-in wings. Asked about any dry rubs they might have and was told about three, though they were not noted on the menu. I ordered the Crawdaddy "dry rub" as directed, plus I asked for all drums. What I received was wings soaked in a wet Cajun flavored sauce, not a dry rub. I also received both drums and flats. I'll start with the positive..the beer was the only positive thing about this visit. We got mango habanero wings and spicy tajin, along with sweet potato waffle fries and cheese blocks. The wings were definitely mid, not very juicy but more on the dry side. The mango habanero sauce was good but the tajin was very salty. The fries were pretty soggy. The service was slow on a Wednesday. It was very slow, not many people inside. It took over 15 minutes to be treated by the waiter with "what can I get you" without receiving menus. I felt that I was at a drive thru over a sit down restaurant. Additionally the waiter was uneducated on the menu and advised us $5 whiskeys were all day. We closed out our tab of sodas without ordering food and went elsewhere.
The service was okay, but the food was honestly terrible. This was my first time eating here, and definitely the last. The wings were so overcooked I couldn't even pull the meat off the bone -- they were hard like rocks and served cold. We were two of four people in the restaurant for a quick lunch at 2pm on a Monday. The music was so loud we couldn't hear our waiter discuss the menu with us. We kindly requested the manager turn it down a bit. He said that he would "get chewed out by corporate" if he turned the music down. It was difficult to even have a conversation.
