I called another Heating and Air Conditioning company when my furnace went out on/2/23 at 11 am and was advised it was considered an emergency service call and would be $329. I called Black Lion and spoke with Tahlia and she was fantastic. She told me that one of her crews was in the area and would send them over. Came out the same day and fixed our gas furnace that wasn't working. They came ahead of schedule and got heat going again.
Had a great interaction with their out of hours scheduling service, and received a call back from their furnace technician within minutes. He took the time to listen to my description, asked a few pointed questions about my furnace setup and recent maintenance (specifically, filter cleaning schedule) and immediately diagnosed over the phone that the issue was insufficient airflow most likely caused by clogged filters. We had a handyman come over who was fairly confident that he could replace our ceiling fan lights with flush-to-ceiling LED lights. The wire configuration was strange to him, so I ended up calling Black Lion Electtrical to finish the job. I've always been impressed with how fast they are able to get someone to our house - today they were able to come THE SAME DAY. Adis came and installed the new lights and a switch in very good time. Great! Nick was right on time, got to work promptly and found we had a small crack in the igniter. When the one he had on the truck with him was faulty, he went and got the part himself, so we didn't have to wait on having heat again. He also gave us a good quote on a water heater, which we haven't had done yet, but which needs to be done.

I had Black Lion come out on a Tuesday to do an annual service on a furnace that was functioning normally. The technician was late in arriving but I tend to expect that. He did the service and noted a couple of items on my 19 year old furnace were near the end of their life but not worth fixing for $1000. I woke up 3 days later to a non-functioning furnace.
