All was good, only problem was the workman forgot to turn the power circuit back on. It was an easy fix that I figured out on my own, but it could have resulted in having to call them back.

For the age of the furnace no surprises. I religiously change my filter every 3 months during the relatively warm Seattle winter.

Overall it went pretty well. The technician was knowledgeable and able to fix the problem. My only comment was that there was a bit of miscommunication between the technician and his front office. The front office had quoted one price and the technician was going to charge for the separate actions. The technician clarified with the front office. Had I not been there when the technician finished I might have been charged the higher ala carte price.

Black Lion responded promptly to our query. They came out and provided a recommended solution as well as other options. Adam explained what would be done with the different options and answered our questions. The work was scheduled the following week and the Black Lion team came out and went about the task of replacing the old furnace and installing a new furnace and heat pump. Overall Black Lion was great. Our salesperson, Tyrel, was absolutely wonderful. He was very low pressure and patiently answered all of my questions. The installers showed up promptly and worked fast. My only complaint is their electricians. The did a really sloppy job running the electrical from the panel to the outdoor unit - they just punched holes in the drywall instead of using a junction box. It worked but it looked horrible. I left a key; they did the furnace inspection, cleaned the furnace, and changed the filter. There were no additional fees or anything.

I wanted to see what kind of condition my furnace was because I got the house 13 years ago and I have had it checked a couple of times but I wanted to have it checked again. They guy said the whole furnace had to be replaced. I was wondering about that and wanted more than one estimate. They called back right away. They showed up on time. They were professional.
