I had BIG expectations about this establishment. I bought a flight of seven drafts. All were different but they all.had a taste that I couldn't place. Bad. The pizza we got was excellent and above average. Service was ok. I explained about the different beer taste, she said, hey our beer isn't for everyone. Yes, indeed. It is NOT. I also asked if they did flights in chilled glasses, the reply was, no. I was shocked that none of the seven had a taste i could drink.. too many other places to try in Reno for food and beers.... read more
Had high hopes after reading all the reviews. Went last night at 7pm for dinner. Ordered ribs, burnt ends, Brussel sprouts and a pretzel. Everything came out cold. The burnt ends are not burnt, they are slices of brisket with large pieces of fat on every bite, this might have been ok if it was hot or crispy but eating cold fat is never good. Brussels sprouts had "melted" cheese on top but by the time we received our plate it was clumped together. The waitress was friendly but seemed overwhelmed. Restaurant was at capacity bu... read more
I have been to the Brews Brothers a few other times and had always been pleased with the food and service, but my recent visit was very disappointing. Our waitress was Macy and she did not have more than 10 words to say to us during our entire visit. The busboy was very helpful and friendly, those two should switch jobs- there would be many more returning guests. If a tall grouchy lady is your waitress GET UP AND LEAVE IMMEDIATELY, she will ruin your meal along with your visit to The Silver Legacy. The Brothers deserve muc... read more
Far from great. I'm genuinely curious how this place is still functioning. The seating situation is ridiculous... dozens of guests standing in line when there are handfuls of empty tables inside. I ended up walking to the front asking how long until two people could be seated since we overheard the lady in front of us talking about her group of 15. The lady sat us right away.... after waiting 20 minutes for obviously no reason. Coming from working in the industry, this is all ass backwards. Again, concept behind their seatin... read more
Absolutely terrible experience. Our server Macy? Was clearly in a rush to get rid of our party. We let them know we were a large party and the hostess clearly had no idea how to handle that or properly manage sitting the group or asking multiple servers to share the table? We were interested in staying for longer and spending a good amount of time as it's a farewell party for some of our group members. The food was okay. No one was given the opportunity to do second orders or additional drink orders. The checks were just... read more
Called to speak to a manger about having a larger party come in. Spoke with 'Joey' who was very dismissive and unhelpful. Unfortunate at best.
Had the Cubano VERY, Very not worth it. 2 or 2.5 very thin slices of meat on a large hoagie roll. Not what I am used to for a Cubano. Service was very slow, had most of my meal without a second beer, by the time the server came back with a refill the meal was over. Took another 15 minutes just to pay the bill.
Boy, this was a weird experience from the outset. When we arrived we found a line about 20 people deep, seeming to prove that all the ads we'd seen in the area hyping the place up were right on the money. Best brewpub in America according to...random publications I'd never heard of? Wow, this place must be great! Well, not exactly. The line took about 40 minutes which gave us ample time to study, memorize, and then recite the menu back to each other, which proved to be a blessing once the hostess seated us. Pulling up our... read more
