The food was good and menu was varied but very expensive for a diner and for a lunch. Service was lovely

The Brooklyn Diner is useful only for the fact that you can make a reservation in Times Square. If you've got kids and need be sure everyone is fed at 6:30 to make that 8:00 show, this place works great. However, it is pretty expensive for what is being served... Prepare to shell out $19.75 for a hot dog and fries, $9.95 for a milkshake and $11.95 for piece of cheesecake (the cheeseburger and fries is only $16.75 somehow). It had convenience but a quick meal for a family of 4 can easily rocket past $120.

Food was great! Very comfortable booth and prompt but not rushed service. The location is perfect as a pre-theater spot. The menu has something for everyone.

We had a quick breakfast at the Diner. Food was good, how can you mess up breakfast, Service a little slow but we were in no rush. Everyone was pleasant, very crowded but they left you take your time. Certainly not the cheapest breakfast, but the location is convenient, serve steady.

We loved this place! The food was delicious...the chicken pot pie was outrageously good! The hamburgers were great, and don't forget to order a shake. The ambiance was cute, and is so close to the theaters. Great place to eat!

This was my second time here in the past month. The food was great (tho a bit pricey) but I guess it's fairly standard for the location but not what you think of when you think 'diner.' The portions are generous -- try the salmon in the clay pot or the chicken pot pie (it tends to sell out). Everything was great but my coffee at the end of the meal was lukewarm. when i asked for a hot refill, it too was lukewarm so i didn't give it five stars. It's great for a pre-theatre meal especially with the early (7pm) curtain.

food was good, but priced for times square. layout was strange, but booths made it more private than most nyc places that have tables on top of one another. i liked that i could make a reservation on a sunday afternoon and not need to wait in a line!
