Management severely overbooked the restaurant. Host seemed frustrated with curt commentary. Waiters were very professional and friendly. Of the few available options (they had run out of pancakes and french toast), the ones we selected were very flavorful.
A very good diner in the heart of Times Square. This is part of a restaurant group and there is a sister diner up the west side near Central Park. The food was excellent and service very good. It is a bit pricier but not out of whack with the quality food and restaurant condition. I will definitely go again.
Have been here several times and it continues to be one of the best business-lunch values in Midtown. Varied menu and not over-run with tourists, in spite of the location.
Had a dinner and a brunch at this restaurant and both were quite good. Service was very good. Awesome chicken soup!
I was so happy to find the Brooklyn Diner in Times Square, it can be very difficult to find good food in the area. We had a reservation walking in and we were seated right away. We had a very comfortable booth that was spacious for the 3 of us. Our waiter was attentive and helpful while ordering. I order the Pot Pie and it was gigantic and yummy. My daughter ordered a hamburger and fries and had a hot fudge sundae for dessert. The fries were so flavorful and the hot fudge was to die for. My mom had the turkey dinner and it w... read more
Easy to get to. There was a huge sign just at the intersection of Broadway and 43rd. For a diner it was amazingly quiet. We had no problem hearing each other. It was quite comfortable seating and the server was friendly and polite. She was obviously very busy but made it her business to get to us in a timely fashion. The food was very good and the portions were good sized. I had a chunky salmon burger that was excellent. What I would want in a diner. The prices were slightly higher than what I'm used to in a diner though. Al... read more
Great location food is just average, tables are way to close and the food is unbelievably overpriced $84 for three poeple to have an average breakfast. There are some many other places to eat in the city for half that price.
Like a well oiled machine! The warm welcome, great service, menu with something for everyone, generous portions, clean and well done interior and steps from Times Square. Has it all! Make a reservation ahead and you won't be disappointed.
So hard to find good places to eat in Times Square. Good quality food with good service. A couple steps up from diner food. Will definitely use it as a go to before a play or if in the area.
