Great Times Square location and lots of yummy food. Fantastic, energetic waiter made it even more fun. The portion sizes are HUGE, so plan accordingly!
Good for pre theatre must have reservation never disappointed with quality of food
The food was fine, but very overpriced relative to the quality.
If you are looking for a good simple place in the Theater District this is it. I am embarrassed to say that after eating in this district for decades, I never tried this restaurant out. Perhaps it was the name that made me believe it was for shakes and burgers? The dishes here appeal to a wide group of tastes from beyond hamburgers and shakes from salads to chicken, steak, pasta and fish. The selection appeals to a wide variety of tastes. You really can't go wrong. Great place for the family and those on a budget.
This is always my go to place in the area! Warm reception, comfy seating and always a warm welcome at the door
Not easy to find something reasonable around Times Square. This restaurant was not exactly as olds Americans diners but gives a good idea of the ambiance. The service was correct, discrete and efficient. It's a bit like a train station : crouded and warm, with a lot animation but never unpleasant. A good value.
Chicken Pot Pie to die for. But leave room for dessert. Very knowledgeable and friendly waiter. Once you get thru the waiting for your table in the bar area which is very crowded; everything else is worth the wait.
Had the pastrami sandwich which was just amazing. Even the fries were something special. Cheesecake was a great finish (but sharing is recommended after a big Brooklyn Diner meal). Service was pretty good. Atmosphere is perfect.
A very good choice for an early (pre-matinee) lunch. Arriving at 11:30, we had a large and comfortable booth by the windows. Right in the heart of Times Square. Comfort food, for example chicken pot pie, wonderful!
