Perfect choice for our pre-theater dinner. We were heading to see Beautiful at the Steven Sonheim theater across the street. This place is just the ticket if you want a good value and a quiet dinner. Ask for a booth in the back for a cozy, private dining experience. Food is a cut above diner food. Costs a little more but tastes better, too. Host and wait staff are a cut above, as well. Table linens are cloth which is a nice touch for a diner.
The menu is full of options with great appetizers, salads, sandwiches, specialty meals and outrageous desserts. The homemade chicken pot pie is a specialty of the house and is unbelievable. So much so that they run out at times. Highly recommended!!
absolutely fabulous lunch. had the Chicken Pot pIe and it was to die for! dessert was their Strawberry cheesecake, and I can say it was the best i've ever tasted!
The diner was very nice, food was good, and service was fine.
We had a reservation for noon and when we arrived our table was not ready, we waited almost ten minutes. The waiter did his best but the kitchen was very slow.....I think the waiter had to cover too many large tables.....
Loved the pastrami!
Management severely overbooked the restaurant. Host seemed frustrated with curt commentary. Waiters were very professional and friendly. Of the few available options (they had run out of pancakes and french toast), the ones we selected were very flavorful.
A very good diner in the heart of Times Square. This is part of a restaurant group and there is a sister diner up the west side near Central Park. The food was excellent and service very good. It is a bit pricier but not out of whack with the quality food and restaurant condition. I will definitely go again.
Have been here several times and it continues to be one of the best business-lunch values in Midtown. Varied menu and not over-run with tourists, in spite of the location.
