These people are so charming, friendly, and service oriented, makes you wonder if they recall they're in the heart of Times Square! The nice young man who greeted us actually remembered our request on our Open Table reservation for a quiet table. He found us the perfect spot, and gave me the table number to request when we go back. The wait staff--waiter and trainee--equaled the host in attentiveness, attention to detail, and care, even steering my husband away from one dish and toward one that was less expensive, but better... read more
A place where everyone can eat what makes them happy!
O.M.G. It's as if my Bubbe's recipes and my Zayde's love of baseball (check out the mural) collided into the PERFECT Jewish diner. The chicken soup is (wait for it) soup-erb; the kugel amazing. The babke was phenomenal, the chicken pot pie perfection. Portions are HUGE and completely shareable. There are not enough adjectives. Service was excellent too - food comes quickly and with a smile. A definite "must" each time we are in NYC. Special kudos to our waiter Jeff, who served five crazy cousins on Sunday morning - everythin... read more
Wrong food was delivered to our table, but our waiter very quickly replaced it with the correct item. Very noisy place.
The menu is very interesting. However, they forgot to bring the food when it was ready. Therefore, everything was cold and eating was a rushed affair. Not great for a first experience. Doubt if we would do it again.
The food was fantastic. The portions were huge, especially the chicken pot pie! What made the milestone birthday celebration even better was our server, Anna. She was friendly, delightful yet professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. Anna made a great meal for a party of four even more special!
I've been coming to this hot spot, along with its sister restaurant slightly uptown, for several years and for good reason. The term "diner" is slightly misleading. The food is fabulous, with portions big enough to share, which enables you to order two portions when you both can't decide. Despite the crowds, the service is impeccable, thanks to the oversight of Chris, the terrific manager. I love this place!!
The open table breakfast menu is fabulous. Unfortunately, for Mother's Day, they had a special menu with many fewer selections and a couple of dollars more per entree.... No pancakes or French toast 😞 However, the food was good, as was the service.
Top of the line service!
