Food was no more the average. The famed pastrami sandwich was good but no where famous. Wine selection practically nonexistent.
We went to The Brooklyn Diner Times Square on a Sunday prior to a Theater matinee. The location was perfect. We went for a late breakfast, and we're so glad we did. I loved my Vernon Brown omelette. A master chef in the kitchen for sure. No not a diner but a lovely place to get world class diner food. We were impressed with the service as well.
This was a wonderful day out with the girls. We had lunch a show and dinner out. The first stop was for lunch at the Brooklyn Diner. We shared three main lunches and had a great time. The food was hot as it should be and served quickly and in a friendly manner. We'd recommend it.

The pot roast that my mother ordered with the mashed potatoes melted in your mouth and the turkey and gravy tasted like it came directly from a home kitchen. No canned stuff here. I also enjoyed the noodle kugel which I've never had before. The portions were generous which is what you would expect ... read more
