We had a reservation for 6 pm on a Saturday evening. We were welcomed and ushered to stand at a crowded area on the right side of the restaurant. Several people were hovering over people seated and eating. At 6, we were approached and told that we would be seated soon and we were. The food was a bit on the expensive side. My wife had the trout and I had a hamburger. The food was fresh and tasty. Nothing superlative, but nothing to complain about. Every December when we visit New York, we always go to the Brooklyn Diner for brunch on our last morning before departing for home. Love their food, prime Times Square location.
really liked the brooklyn diner... the baked macaroni and cheese was fabulous... the chicken noodle soup was really good... we had a slight issue with all of our order not coming out together.. we ordered 2 items off the appetizer menu and then also ordered a hamburger... the waiter thought we would want the appetizers first but those appetizer items were my lunch... the waiters should be taught to ask whether the order should come out together or at different times... it also took too long for a waiter to come to the table ... read more
We were expecting a more diner type environment since the name implies it. Well, it was nothing like a diner. Great selection of food and drinks. Not outrageously priced either. The staff was very friendly as well. We loved eating here and will probably do it again.
Food always comforting but above all on this recent visit every employee from front desk to waitstaff very welcoming and gentleman at front so charming !
Great hidden little spot in time square service was amazing. Food was really good .good location for attending show at radio city it 6-7 block awsy overall definitely will go back ......
the food is not cheap but not expensive also when you see the portions. Amazing service, great food, beautiful setting. A truly memorable experience.
Arrived an hour early on a bus excursion to see a Broadway Show. Host was very accommodating and our waiter was great. Too early for the lunch menu, however the Breakfast menu was very good with many choices. Everyone in our party of 6 ordered a different item and all enjoyed their selection. Had plenty of time and we were not rushed. Great way to start the day after a 2 hour bus ride from the western suburbs of Philadelphia.
AWESOME Thanksgiving day experience! On my list for when we return to NYC!
